The exploration and production of oil and gas has become increasingly difficult, and new reserves exploration has been carried out to deeper or more difficult formations. Drilling depths can now extend beyond 10 km and can be multi-directional or horizontal. Temperatures and pressures up to 260°C and 2000 bar (29,000 psi). As a result, the cost of extracting these reserves is very high, making extraction efficiency even more important.
